No, we do not collect skip bags everywhere in Cork. However, A1 Skip Bags does provide collections across many areas in Cork City and County. Our skip bag collection service currently covers locations including Ballincollig, Blarney, Carrigaline, Carrigtwohill, Charleville, Cobh, Cork City, Crosshaven, Fermoy, Glanmire, Grange, Kinsale, Mallow, Midleton, Mitchelstown, Ovens and Youghal.
If you are unsure whether your location is covered, the easiest way to check is during the online booking process by entering your town or area. If your location appears in the system, you will be able to book a skip bag delivery or collection.
Delivery:
All skip bag deliveries are normally within 1-3 working days depending upon where you live. Note some bags are delivered by 3rd party couriers and delivery time may be outside of our control.
Collection:
Your bag will normally be collected within 1-5 working days (Mon-Fri excluding bank holidays) unless it is in an area where we have indicated it may take longer. This is outlined on the booking page when you select your area.
You can use your A1 Skip Bag for most general household, garden and DIY waste such as timber, furniture, plastics, packaging, garden cuttings, soil, rubble and other non hazardous materials.
However, the following items are strictly prohibited: paints, aerosols or gas canisters (even if empty), tyres, electrical goods or domestic appliances, any WEEE items, hazardous waste, asbestos, domestic or food waste, oil, solvents, chemicals, sludges, batteries of any kind, fluorescent lighting, clinical waste, animal remains or faeces, and contaminated soil or rubble. If any of these materials are placed in the bag, it cannot be collected and the lift will be refused.
You can keep your A1 Skip Bag for as long as you need. There is no set timeframe for how long the bag can remain at your property. Once the bag is filled and ready to go, simply book a collection and our team will arrange to collect it. This allows you to fill the bag at your own pace, whether you are completing a quick clear out or a longer home or garden project.
We do not offer same day skip bag collections. When your A1 Skip Bag is ready, you can book a collection through our booking system and select a preferred collection date. Collections are then completed within 1 to 5 working days from the date you choose during the booking process. To avoid delays, we recommend booking your collection once your bag is full and ready to go.
